Created and designed by Korean designer Hyun Yeu (1974), Ado Les Scents latest collection is entitled ‘The King is Helpless’ and was inspired by the story and sacrifice made by King Edward VIII.
Shown during Amsterdam International Fashion Week, Hyun Yeu’s most recent collection entitled ‘The King is Helpless’ was inspired by the romantic story of King Edward VIII, who gave up his English throne out of love for an American divorcee, Wallace Simpson.
Translating this immense sacrifice into a collection, creative director Yeu transformed Ado Les Scents’ man into a complicated character of strength and vulnerability. The collection is set for Spring/Summer 2011 and features an array of loose cut, flowing garments in a cold palette of blues and greys. From subtle ballooning silhouettes and sheer fabrics to character-driven tailcoats, spring’s outing fuses a modern sensibility with whimsy and romance.
The new label ‘Ado Les Scents’ sets the standard for menswear. The label vision manifests itself in elegant, high-quality menswear with innovative shapes and fabrics. Ado Les Scents aims for a young-minded crowd. These men are not afraid to stand out and show their vulnerable side.
