Uber will deliver ice cream to you next Friday!

Uber will deliver ice cream to you today!.gif

They may not come in trucks, per se. But everyone’s favorite designated driver Uber has commissioned its fleet of private rideshare vehicles around the world to become purveyors of ice cream – and all-round happiness – for one day only.

A tweet promised ‘some of your childhood favs’ plus ‘chic Uber swag’.

On Friday, July 24, poor schmucks stuck at the office can place an order for ice creams to be delivered curbside using the Uber app. Uber will deliver on demand between 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. in 252 cities across 57 countries. In some destinations such as London and Paris, ice creams are free. Otherwise, the frozen desserts range from $10 to $20 for up to five pieces. Each city gets its own local ice cream flavor. Select cities in China, for instance, will be served treats from Baskin-Robbins. Other partners around the world include Dairy Queen, Magnum, Wall’s Cornettos, and local froyo bars.

Just fire up the app, toggle over to the ‘ice cream’ option and set a pickup location within the designated hours; it’ll automatically be charged to your account as usual. Per Uber, ‘demand will be very high and availability limited’, but if you can successfully get in you might just be the office hero today.

Yakymour, home of Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan, thè place in the mid 50's 'till the late 80's, where fashion, art, beauty and love meet each other, from all over the world.... Playing as a child in the garden of Yakymour was a happy, innocent time, thanx to ‘Grandma’ Yaky and to Sadruddin, where I could be fully myself and forget ‘the bad things’, and get some strenght. The Last 30 years working as cosmetologist and as a make-up artist for television, theatre, film, fotoshoots, fashion shows, celebrities and individuals gave me a trunk full of experience. My work brought me all over the world and had photoshoot's on location in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, India a.o. At this Blog you will find many reviews of cosmetics, fashion, art, and everything beautiful, as an ode to Begum Om Habibeh 'Yaky' Aga Khan, and named after the place where 'everything' was beautiful: Yakymour. You will find here all the in and outs about skincare, perfums, and make-up, the do's and don'ts, the why's and how's.... The stories behind, and some great interviews... So when you have any question.... please ask. Come on in.... feel yourself at home at Yakymour! Jean Amr P.S. My apologies for future grammatical errors. English is not my mother language :)
