Jaguar Releases Tech-Filled I-Pace All-Elektric Performance SUV

The I-Pace was announced in March 2018, European deliveries began in June 2018, and North American deliveries started in October 2018. Designed by Ian Callum, the I-Pace is the first electric SUV from a premium European automaker. In its first year, the I-Pace became one of the most highly decorated production cars ever, winning 62 international awards.

In March 2019, the I-Pace won the European Car of the Year award, the first Jaguar to win in the 50-year history of the award. In April 2019, the I-Pace became the 2019 World Car of the Year, and by also winning Best Design and Best Green Car awards, it became the first car to ever sweep three of the six categories.

Now today the British luxury carmaker has unveiled the 2021 I-Pace, showcasing a whole host of new technological features and improvements to the British company’s electric car. This mid-sized performance SUV now offers a new fast, intuitive infotainment system and quicker charging capabilities, making for a more pleasant owner experience.

Jaguar says the new system is ‘as quick and easy to use as your smartphone’, noting its self-learning navigation system that will show you where the nearest charging station is, how long it’ll take you to fill up, and the cost.

Elsewhere, Jaguar has included a dual-modem embedded SIM with 4G data plan, wireless device charging, embedded Spotify, and Bluetooth for two phones at the same time inside the cabin. There’s also a new 36-degree camera system, a wide-angle digital rear-view mirror, and an optional Meridian sound system that equips the I-Pace with 16 speakers and one subwoofer.

Other tech updates include cabin air ionization with PM2.5 filtration, making for a cleaner allergen-free atmosphere. Charging has also been upgraded, as customers with an 11kW supply at home can now gain 33 miles of range (WLTP) per hour.

The 2021 I-Pace has a standard 11 kW on-board charger, which enables 33 miles (53 km) of range per hour, in the WLTP cycle, using a 11 kW wall box. A full charge takes 8.6 hours, or 12.75 hours via a 7 kW wall box at up to 22 miles (35 km) of charge per hour. Should you find a 50 kW charger, you can add 39 miles (63 km) of range in 15 minutes, or 78 miles (126 km) via a 100 kW charger.

The I-Pace is fitted with two electric motors which provide 394 HP and 513 lb-ft. of torque, while its 90 kWh battery is good for 292 miles. 0-60 MPH is achieved in just 4.5 seconds.

Available on all models in the range, the new Black Pack option complements the Atlas Grey grille tip finish, which is another novelty. It brings a colorful look for certain parts, including the Noble Chrome grille surround, Satin Chrome window surrounds, Atlas Grey side mirror caps and rear diffuser. The Black Pack option adds a glossy black finish to the rear badges. Speaking of colors, the palette has been expanded to include Caldera Red, Portofino Blue and Eiger Grey. Additional wheel options are also available. The Jaguar I-Pace is built by contract manufacturer Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.

Jaguar I-Pace is available at its car dealerships. Come into the beautiful world of Jaguar.

Yakymour, home of Begum Om Habibeh Aga Khan, thè place in the mid 50's 'till the late 80's, where fashion, art, beauty and love meet each other, from all over the world.... Playing as a child in the garden of Yakymour was a happy, innocent time, thanx to ‘Grandma’ Yaky and to Sadruddin, where I could be fully myself and forget ‘the bad things’, and get some strenght. The Last 30 years working as cosmetologist and as a make-up artist for television, theatre, film, fotoshoots, fashion shows, celebrities and individuals gave me a trunk full of experience. My work brought me all over the world and had photoshoot's on location in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, India a.o. At this Blog you will find many reviews of cosmetics, fashion, art, and everything beautiful, as an ode to Begum Om Habibeh 'Yaky' Aga Khan, and named after the place where 'everything' was beautiful: Yakymour. You will find here all the in and outs about skincare, perfums, and make-up, the do's and don'ts, the why's and how's.... The stories behind, and some great interviews... So when you have any question.... please ask. Come on in.... feel yourself at home at Yakymour! Jean Amr P.S. My apologies for future grammatical errors. English is not my mother language :)
