Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo looks again to their own city’s heritage and drinks in its inspiration for a new fragrance. Ferragamo’s headquarters building, Palazzo Spini Feroni, is not far from the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, and it was this building that influenced the creation of Cupola, the new edition of the Tuscan Creations line.
600 years after its construction, the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore dominates the landscape of Florence. It’s the city’s greatest icon, the protagonist of its amazing Italian architecture. The star of the skyline, it is the extraordinary masterwork of an engineering prodigy, conceived by the creative genius of Filippo Brunelleschi. The dome of this cathedral still remains an unsolved mystery. The largest brick dome ever built, this was the first monument to consecrate architecture to the status of both artistic and scientific disciplines.
Perfumers Luca Maffei and Antoine Lie celebrate this masterpiece with an olfactory ode representing the bond between Heaven and Earth, insolence and rigor, limit and immensity. Cupola is an olfactive painting of the divine mystery. It embodies a feeling of substantial harmony that elevates the soul of those who wear it.

The fashion house describes the scent as a subtle freshness of vivid tangerine and green angelica, immediately rounded with soft leathery saffron, reminiscent of intimate rays of sunshine on the cupola. The majesty of the cathedral stands high toward the sky as a mystical bridge between earthy, sophisticated orris and precious amber, sublimated by deep tones of labdanum. Clear as a celebration of its magnificence, a resinous warm amber envelops the beauty of sacred woods: dark patchouli and smoky gaiac wood.
